The Best Blogging Resources to Help You Start or Grow Your Blog

Here are my favourite blog resources that help me to keep my blog optimized, secure and running at top-notch speeds. You’ll also find my freebies that I’ve designed to help you grow your blog’s traffic and build your tribe.

This page contains affiliate links, which means if you purchase through these links, I will receive a small commission. This is at no cost to you, but it is an awesome way to help me keep this site going. Thanks for your support!

Siteground –
Siteground is the web-host I use and I cannot sing their praises enough. Us bloggers aren’t always the techiest of people and Siteground has been there for me every time I made a big oopsie on my blog and needed expert help to recover from my mistakes. For only $3.95/mo for blog hosting, they are well worth the money and the peace of mind.

BlueHost – Bluehost is another web host that is very beginner blogger friendly. They’re touted as really easy to use and very affordable prices!

ConvertKit – ConvertKit is the email system I use on my lifestyle blog. It’s super easy to use and very beginner blogger friendly. They have a 30 day trial period and their email system allows you to create pop-ups and hundreds of different sign up forms for your different content upgrades and opt-ins. They also have landing pages built in so no need to pay for that elsewhere.

Mailerlite – Mailerlite is the email system I use on this blog. I signed up just to test out the service and compare it to ConvertKit but I have to say that it is just as easy to use and is actually free up to 1000 subscribers! That’s amazing since you get access to ALL their paid features on the free plan. So my pop-up, all my subscribe boxes in my posts and even my landing pages are all free till I hit that golden number and even then they’re still cheaper. Me likey.

The best blogging resources around to help you to start your blog, design it, monetize it or to grow your email list.

Elegant Themes – I’m planning to redo my blog’s design very soon and when I do so I will be using Elegant Theme’s Divi. Their drag and drop easy-to-use themes make it easy to design the perfect theme, placing any element anywhere on your theme like images, sign up boxes, testimonials etc without needing to know code. I love their robust community of expert designers that offer up help and even custom theme layouts making the process of keeping your blog’s design fresh so easy. Their theme also comes with their own email opt-ins and social share buttons so need for multiple plugins. The fewer plugins, the quicker your site loads which is best for SEO.

Tailwind – Tailwind is the scheduler I use to send out over 100 pins a day! Read this post for my full Pinterest strategy but suffice to say you need to be actively pinning in order to drive major traffic to your blog but who has the time? Tailwind does and they do it for cheap! Your first 100 pins are free so go ahead and give it a shot, you won’t be sorry, I promise!

Shareasale – Shareasale is one of my favourite affiliate programs used to make money on both my blogs. They have an extensive list of merchants whose products you can promote both on your blog and on social media. They’ve got all the stores you want to promote from fashion to sporting goods, food, household, business, you name it, they’ve got a merchant for it.

KeySearch – This is the tool I use to find keywords to rank for that are profitable. This tool helps me to find keywords that I can rank, the competition that currently ranks for the keywords with an analysis of the competitor links and the search volume which can help to determine if the keyword will bring traffic if you rank for it.
